As a Black empowerment group, Lukhanyo Clinic accepted the challenge of transforming the practice of psychiatry and mental healthcare by:
accommodating professionally qualified healthcare workers of the formerly disadvantaged community
integrating the expertise of all role-players in mental healthcare (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and allied health workers) through effective teamwork/networking
applying the unwritten principles of compassion and empathy in therapy, supported by creative motivational activities.
The Lukhanyo Team dedicates this website to the service of mental health and invites similar community-spirited organisations and mental health practices to submit their links and/or articles/advice to enhance the quality of healthcare provision in our young country and the global community.. . see papers / links.....
